Tally Report with Table


This table shows a breakdown of the days per week that respondents received news via Newspaper (Local, National, International), Radio, Social Media, and TV.  To create a report similar to this report, follow these steps:

  1. Click Reports from the menu
  2. Click Create New Report
  3. Select the type of report, in this case Tally Report
  4. What would you like to tally: select the display features and the title of the report. For this report we will tally Answers Per Question rather than Responses Per Answer/Attribute
  5. Display Results: select the Table option to display results in a table
  6. Percentage Style: for this example we would like to know what percentage of respondents answered for each selection in each question.  For this, we select Percentage By Row.  In other words, for those asked How many days a week do you receive news via TV? the numbers show the percentage of people who answered for each day.  Example: Of all the people that answered this question, 14.6% responded that they receive their news via TV 5 days a week
  7. Question Display: for this example we chose Codes Only to save space
  8. Title the report
  9. Forms: select the form(s) that the data will be drawn from. In this case, the only form needed is ATIMS
  10. Calculation: no calculation was selected for this example
  11. Select the questions that will be included in the graph. Here we are tallying answers to questions with specific option sets rather than answers to specific questions, so select questions with these option sets Select the option sets needed, in this case Daily,W,M and Education
  12. Select Run and your table will be displayed
